The Clydeside Events at Cardross GC on 24th August and Helensburgh GC on 25 August were the first events for the new JBGS Captain. Click here for his report on them.
On arriving, we knew we were in the right place when we spotted this sign.
The JBGS members were thrilled when Marjorie Mackie (3rd from right) and Fiona Collins (on the left) joined us for our game at Cardross GC. They are James Braid’s grand daughter and great grand daughter respectively.

Having joined us for refreshments before we went out to play, both Marjorie and Fiona were keen to come out and have their photo taken with the group, and then to see us all off the tee. Thank you both so much.

And the winner – battling on the course, was Paul with 37 points. Very well done.
We had a wonderful time and society members were lucky enough to soak in superb vistas of Loch Lomond and the River Clyde in the best of weather conditions.
