Finally we are here at Brora altogether again from all corners of the world after 3 years. Click here for the Captain’s Report of The Highland Tour.
Early morning, the sun is rising in Brora and the golf course awaits the JBGS
A welcome was sent out to Captain Barrie:
He wasn’t impressed – noting that the glass wasn’t full! But thankfully that didn’t keep him away – ready for action on the 1st tee at Brora, Ewen, Alistair, Richard, and Barrie all set to go.
Day 1 June 21st – the long-awaited match against Fortrose and Rosemarkie at Brora GC finally begins. Following the Captain out, in no particular order were:

The result, as always inconsequential, was a 10-5 win by Fortrose and Rosemarkie – another win even without their home advantage this time.
Day 2 June 22nd – was supposed to be a rest day. But it was spent variously at Reay, Bonar Bridge and Tain GCs.

We were overcome by good golf and local knowledge and The Friendship Trophy remained firmly in the hands of Royal Dornoch Golf Club (8 – 4). But what a good time was had by all, thank you Royal Dornoch.
Day 4 June 24th – the finale, The Founding Meeting followed by dinner in The Garden Room at The Royal Marine Hotel and the prize giving.
