The JBGS was invited to send a team of 2 members to play on 3 June in Golf House Club, Elie’s match to celebrate it’s 150th Anniversary. Alistair Picken and Tommy Brown went along, in the unfortunate circumstances that at the last minute The Captain, Barrie Thomas was unable to be present.
They enjoyed a wonderful occasion although on a very windy day the golf proved to be very tricky and unpredictable. But then, as they say, that’s golf!
They presented the club with a trophy – a mounted James Braid putter together with a contribution to the Junior Section. The club were thrilled and this trophy will be presented annually to the winner of one of the Junior Competitions.
