When the idea of a trip to Pinehurst came up we wondered if it would ever get off the ground. But it did. 12 JBGS members, 6 from Britain and 6 from the USA, met up on 10 March for a 4 day trip, starting with dinner together on the Sunday evening. This was followed by 4 rounds of golf, on courses 4, 3, 2 and the Par 3 Cradle.

Those attending were Bill and Lisa, Peter and Alison, Tony, Angela, Leighton, Mark, Denny, David, Amey and Dave, Frank and Bo. The following day, bright and sunny found us on course #4 raring to go.

Day 2 was spent on course #3, then putting before going on to the Par 3 Cradle course

We spruced ourselves up in the evening for a cocktail party very kindly hosted by Bill and Lisa at their lovely home in Pinehurst – one of the first 20 houses built there in 1895.

Thank you so much Bill and Lisa that was lovely.

The next morning came the big one – course #2. And some special moments from the trip.

What a great time we all had, weren’t we lucky to have the chance to go. Thank you to everyone for the fun and fellowship we enjoyed both on and off the golf courses. Note the constant Carolina blue sky !!
